Time of Prayer with Saint Jude

Back

Each year, the devotions at the National Shrine of Saint Jude in Faversham will include the veneration of a relic of Saint Jude. Now we would also like to offer this service online each month for those who live far away…

The Carmelites will be showing a live-stream of the relic on the last Thursday of the month at 5pm. This took place on 28 November and can be viewed below.

Relics are the mortal remains of God's holy men and women. They are not lucky charms or objects of superstition. They are physical reminders of a spiritual connection with someone we love. Relics, like family keepsakes, give us a sense of connection with one who has gone before us. They help our faith move from being simply a 'head matter' to something embodied in the heart. The blessings of technology mean it can be venerated through the internet.
