Shrine of Saint Jude

news: 25 June 2020

Back

Though we welcome the announcement that churches across the UK may now open for individual visits and prayer, it is not currently possible to open the Shrine of Saint Jude.  This is because we do not have enough local volunteers to make it possible. We also do not think it safe to have volunteers helping from further afield.

We know that the Shrine of Saint Jude is an important place of pilgrimage for many, so I want to assure you that we are continuing to look at this situation on a weekly basis. We will notify our pilgrims as soon as a decision is made to re-open.

Please remember that our online services continue, and any post we receive is still being dealt with by the team here. Our phone, emails, letters will continue to be answered.

All your intentions and prayers will continue to be left with Saint Jude, and the community here will keep you in their prayers.

Thank you for your understanding.

May Saint Jude bless you all,

Fr Kevin Alban, O.Carm
Prior Provincial
