Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, which commemorates the day Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem. This Feast occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus and is also known as Candlemas Day, since the blessing and procession of candles is included today.
