Back

The Feast of Saint Jude celebrations have begun. The British Carmelite Prior Provincial, Fr. Brendan Grady, O.Carm celebrated both Masses in the church.

Although it was a very wet and rainy day, we were still able to enjoy the company of many pilgrims and friends of Saint Jude. We were even able to light candles in these windy and rainy conditions.

We were pleased to welcome members of the Carmelite Reading Community: Br. Matthew Janvier, O.Carm; Br. Anthony O’Donnell, O.Carm and Fr. Jacob Pallippurathu Joseph (currently studying in this Province and a friar from St. Thomas Province in Kerala, India) with Fr. Brendan. The local Faversham community: Fr. Gerard Walsh, O.Carm; the Chaplain, Br. Paul de Groot, O.Carm and Fr. Patrick O’Keeffe, O.Carm were also in attendance too.

Pilgrims were able to visit the new shop at the end of the Welcome Centre

We are celebrating the Apostle of Hope all weekend and on his Feast Day this Wednesday. Please do join us. All are welcome.
