We are all praying for Pope Francis.

The British Province of Carmelites were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Pope Francis. We give thanks for his faithful witness to the Gospel, his tireless advocacy for the poor and marginalised, and his deep commitment to peace, dialogue, and care for creation. His papacy has been a profound source of inspiration and hope for the Church and the world. We entrust him to the loving mercy of God, and we pray that he may now rest in the peace of Christ.

O God, faithful rewarder of souls, grant that your departed servant Pope Francis, whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion, which he faithfully ministered on earth. rough our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen. Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
