We had a brilliant day celebrating seventy years of the Shrine of Saint Jude on Tuesday.

Fr. Brendan Grady, O.Carm, Prior Provincial celebrated Mass and talked about the history of the Shrine and how it all started. We were very privileged to welcome over a hundred Guild members to the Mass and celebrations, plus the Kent Lord Lieutenant's representative, Mr David Steel and the Faversham Mayor, Cllr Josh Rowlands.

At the refreshments afterwards, Fr. Brendan discussed how donations at the Shrine help the Province with its various projects in the UK and around the world, and Cllr Rowlands concluded the speeches on how important hope is to our world today.
The Chaplain, Br. Paul de Groot, O.Carm cut the 70th birthday cake with Cllr Rowlands.

It was a day of great joy and hope - and no rain!
Thank you to all our volunteers and Shrine Office team for all their work before, during and after the Feast - without whom we could not have done any of this.
